Klipper lcd not starting in 'home' menu, starts as if you had clicked it

Printer Model: Makerbot replicator 2
MCU / Printerboard: Mightyboard

Describe your issue:

Pretty self explanatory the screen (lcd, does not use its own firmware, similar to stock creality lcd) doesn’t show anything useful when starting up, it starts as if you had clicked into the menu. It’s annoying to fix constantly, so here I am. I’ve tried my lcd only defined by the pins and also with it set up using a better lcd macro with no luck
