Layer start / end problems

Basic Information:

Printer Model: AnyCubic I3 Mega
MCU / Printerboard: Raspberry Pi

Hi there, i hope someone can point me in the right direction, i am having trouble to set up my prints correctly. especially the start and end of one layer.
In this picture its quite obviouse:

the diagonal “ripple” is where each layer starts end ends. What can that be? is this a gcode setting? or a missconfigured Printer.cfg?

Any idea would be great!! Thanks a lot!

Well, some sort of seam is normal and a lot of (partially esoteric) ideas are floating around how it could be avoided / reduced.
From the picture it looks like a bad case, but often such pictures are misleading and cylindrical objects are anyway prone to it.

Usually, no setting in the printer.cfg has an effect on it, except maybe a significantly too high value for pressure advance.

The seam placement as a diagonal line is a bit strange, but there are settings in the slicers to control it.
