Logic analyzer measurement of retraction point

Hi,

Im installing Klipper on a Duet 2 Wifi 1.04c board with Raspberry Pi 4.

As part of calibration Im measuring the E0 step pulses with logic analyzer.

I noticed what looks like a small delay fluctuating between 3 to 5ms between end of movement and the retraction point.

Is this normal or will some calibration affect it that may raise concern?

Signals: 1. E0 Step 2. E0 Dir 3. E0 CSS

Measurement done with extruder microstepping x256, rotation distance 22.857.

Testprint is two circles, one layer, gcode file attached.

I’m not sure what you’re reporting, but it would be normal for deceleration and then acceleration to show up as a delay between the last step pulse in the previous direction and the first step pulse in the new direction.
