No variables.cfg?

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Kobra 2
MCU / Printerboard: Trigorilla_pro_b_v1.0.2
Host / SBC: Raspberrypi 3 B
klippy.log Attached

klippy.log (175.4 KB)

I’m following (How to install Klipper on Anycubic Kobra 2 - Function3D) to install klipper on my Kobra 2, but I get this message after adding all the .cfg files provided:

I tried googling for this issue but no one seems to be talking about it? As far as I know I don’t think I even needed a variables.cfg???

In your downloaded slot.cfg it says:

# Use printer_data instead of printer_1_data when you installed only one instance of klipper

[save_variables]
filename: ~/printer_1_data/config/variables.cfg

[virtual_sdcard]
path: ~/printer_1_data/gcodes

As the klippy.log states the currently used path is /home/pi/printer_data/config/ you should follow the advice in that slot.cfg and change the respective paths in it from printer_1_data back to printer_data for both sections and restart your printer.

As with all new configs especially from the internet: be careful when playing with your printer and use decent speeds to check whether everything is right or not!
If it is proven to work you can increase speeds and stuff if needed and supported by the hardware.

Never thought I’d say this, but thank you very much Brian Griffin

I would have never thought of how to fix this by myself! Z offset features now work and other than one other minor fix I managed to do myself, everything works! AND I didn’t break anything ^w^
