Verify heater error in hot end

Basic Information:

Printer Model: voron2.4
MCU / Printerboard: BTT Manta M8P V1.1 with ebb 36 V1.2
klippy.log
klippy (6).log (4.2 MB)

  • I was trying to heat the dragon flow hot end to 210 C, i am the getting the same kind of error "verify the heater in the config ",when ever i try to heat the hot end and the heating time also too long, it will go up to 80 C and then getting the same error. Hot end fan also active at the initial state of heating

Fill out above information and in all cases attach your klippy.log file (use zip to compress it, if too big). Pasting your printer.cfg is not needed
Be sure to check our “Knowledge Base” Category first. Most relevant items, e.g. error messages, are covered there

Describe your issue:

Hello @kui013 !

It appears the extruder does not reach the target temperature and Klipper gives this error:

Heater extruder not heating at expected rate
Transition to shutdown state: Heater extruder not heating at expected rate
See the 'verify_heater' section in docs/Config_Reference.md
for the parameters that control this check.

Usually you do not need [verify_heater heater_config_name].
Try without that.

If you put this in because without you also get the error:

Heater extruder not heating at expected rate
Transition to shutdown state: Heater extruder not heating at expected rate

Then there it seems to be something wrong with the hardware.

Check for.

  • Proper assembly of the heater cartridge
  • Proper assembly of the thermistor
  • Does the hotend cooler blow air onto the heater block
  • Is there sufficient power for the extruder heater
  • Is the CANbus cable able to provide the needed power

everything i checked it’s correct and i still getting the same error,
i tried with the main board without ebb and I’m getting the same error.

Take into account that the heater cartridge and/or the thermistor may be broken.

i tried also same error happen

Did the printer work before?

How is the heated bed powered?

this is the first time i was assembling with ebb and the bed(500W) is powered with PSU (24V 10 A).

this is the error.

Is the bed separately powered by it’s own PSU, or does this one run for everything?

When it comes to bed heating, everything is fine.

one PSU for everything .
ya it’s fine for heating bed .

What PSU do you have for the rest (steppers, extruder, etc)?

if i try to heat the hot end alone also, same error happen.

i connected all things in one PSU , there is no additional PSU

Upps, I misread, sorry.

does it power supply it matter ?

Can I ask exactly how are you powering the EBB36? Are you using the main power supply (usually 24V) or are you using 5.0V from USB?

Your connections look good in klippy.log but something ain’t right with the power going to the extruder heater.

What do you mean whne you say “with ebb and the bed(500W) is powered with PSU (24V 10 A)”? Does your bed really draw 500W? If so, that means its requires 20.8A and you’re saying that your PSU supplies 10A…

Have you wired the printer and setup the config according this?

connecting all the wire according to the voron documentation and using the manta M8P V1.1. some pin configuration are mismatch compare to the V1.1 to V1.0 and corrected all thing in printer.cfg file

I have some notes on that, but they depend on the results of @mykepredko query.

BTW: From the BBT manual:

  1. The maximum output current of the heated bed port: 10A, Peak Value: 12A
  2. The maximum output current of the heater cartridge port: 5.5A, Peak Value:
    6A

And you have connected the heated bed to PB5, this is an extruder heater output (see 10.)

I’m using the silicon bed heater (500W)

Thinking that you have connected your bed to your PSU while in reality it is powered by mains can lead to serious health issues …
