Coming down the home stretch in migrating from Marlin to Klipper. I’m running a BLTouch, installed and working correctly. Trying to set the Z_Offset parameter. When I enter “PROBE_CALIBRATE” in the terminal window, it moves to the center of the bed (roughly), runs a probe cycle, then goes up about 10mm, the adjustment window opens up… and the print head starts drifting slowly to the right (+X), very slowly, maybe a mm per second. It continues until it’s maybe 3/4 of the way toward the right edge of the bed, when it finally stops. Any ideas on what might be causing this?
Other issue is that the Z_Offset is roughly 2.5mm; that is, the nozzle tip is 2.5mm above the surface of the print bed when the BLTouch trips. The “PROBE_CALIBRATE” controls do let me lower the nozzle from the 10mm height it rose to post-probe, but as soon as the nozzle hits that 2.5mm distance, I get an “out of range” error in red, and I can’t lower the nozzle any further. It seems Klipper is taking the probe trip point as 0.0, and is not allowing any Z- movement past that point. Can’t set my Z-offset of I can’t go below the probe trip point… so where does that leave me?
Input is very much appreciated!
