Fill out above information and in all cases attach your klippy.log file (use zip to compress it, if too big). Pasting your printer.cfg is not needed

Describe your issue:

Got the TZ E3 V3.0 to swap to my Ender 3 Pro and am getting the following:

MCU ‘can0’ shutdown:

This generally occurs when a heater temperature exceeds
its configured min_temp or max_temp.
Once the underlying issue is corrected, use the
“FIRMWARE_RESTART” command to reset the firmware, reload the
config, and restart the host software.
Printer is shutdown

I already switched the TH0 to Generic 3950 but still get the same math error. I did not set a custom thermal profile so I am guessing that this is a bad thermal probe?

It can also be a wiring error - you didn’t indicate when you put in the EBB36. If it was done with the TZE3 then there might be a problem with the connector.

Regardless, it’s a problem with the thermistor.

Nope the CANBus stuff has worked great and has been set up for some time. I am not sure why the Generic 3950 is doing inverted maths since it is not a polarized sensor. I do have another 3950 on order so I may just go back to my prior all metal instead of the TZ-E3 v3.0 until that comes in.

This hotend came pre-assembled so I did not verify the bulb was ok.

The temperature isn’t doing “inverted maths”, it’s reading the temperature as being that low.

The resistance of an NTC thermistor decreases as the temperature goes up.

When you get a very low temperature, it generally means you have an open circuit which could be thermistor being completely bad or there might be a problem with the connector.

Yep, replaced the thermistor and am 100% again.
