Describe your issue:

Hello All! I am running into a weird issue. My printer keeps pausing as soon as my printer starts to actually print. I am not sure why, everything seems to be working, but I am not getting errors, minus the communication error at the end. I did rearrange some wires in the electronics box, but I doubt that is causing issues. Please let me know what information you might need.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @Soren.R !

The extruder temp is quite fluctuating and Klipper waits for it to settle.

Have you already run a PID-Tune?

I will do that real quick. Thank you for your feedback!

So I calibrated the extender and was able to print a test print multiple times with no issue, but a different file is pausing it. Nothing changed between the slicing of the files, not getting any errors, or seeing much in the log. Attached are the 2 g-code files in question. First Layer Calibration works fine, Bottom does not.

FirstLayerCalibration-FirstLayer_0.24mm_ABS_Generic Klipper Printer_2m30s.gcode (46.3 KB)
Bottom_0.24mm_ABS_Generic Klipper Printer_40m22s.gcode (727.1 KB)

Here are the logs

A question for clarification:

  • The printer pauses - and works on alter

or

  • The printer cancels/halts/stops/aborts the print

It is pausing. I am able to click resume, and it works for a second or two, then pauses again.

Okay, it’s a hardware issue. I unplugged the screen and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks for your help! Silly thing haha
