Hello all! I’m back with another issue that has been twisting my head for quite some time now. I recently got my printer working (besides some minor tuning needed) when I noticed artifacts on one of my axis. I was in the middle of printing parts that I needed for a project so I didn’t other reprinting them as they were fine otherwise and I needed them pronto. It had stripes of properly extruded parts, but in some locations the infill was sticking out through the walls. Flash forward a few days and I haven’t been able to work on tuning the printer the rest of the way as I go and start another print. That’s when I noticed a major problem:

The walls of the print were not being printed. The printer wouldn’t even “pretend” to extrude the filament, it would just go right past them and start the infill. I checked my slicer settings and nothing and changed, I even increased my walls and printed a smaller, but similar object after redoing my slicer settings thinking that was it. Still everything but the walls (including the z seam) was being printed.

Any ideas as to what would have caused this? I have to get parts printed quickly for a prototype for my robotics team.

That has to be a slicer settings problem. The printer has no way of knowing which extrudes and moves are walls and which are infill.

As @flowerysong said, this is a slicer issue. Could you upload the problematic GCode?

Last night, I completely deleted and redid my orca slicer profile in an attempt to fix it. I will try Cura to see if I can get that working but I am at a loss beyond that.
