SET_VELOCITY_LIMIT for Z-axis on Cartesian

Basic Information:

Printer Model: Ender 3 V2
MCU / Printerboard: Stock with UART hack
klippy.log

Fill out above information and in all cases attach your klippy.log file. Pasting your printer.cfg is not needed

Describe your issue:

Hello. Just a quick question. I have been looking around and it seems that the SET_VELOCITY_LIMIT command does not include z-acceleration and velocity. Is this correct or did I miss something?

Cheers
Florian

This is correct.
What would be your use case for modifying the Z limits?

Hi Sineos. I’m running a belted setup (on my Ender 5 and hopefully soon on my Ender 3). I am putting together speed and quality profile to be set via macro depending on the printer profile chosen in my slicer. In quality profile, I want the z-axis to go slow and smooth, while in speed profile, I could go faster (not caring too much for vibrations). Hence, this is why I’d like to set the z-velocity…It’s really super optional. Was just wondering if there is a cheat code =)

Was wondering this myself
