Background

A thermistor has reported a temperature outside the specified limits.

Reasons

• Specified min_temp / max_temp in the respective heater section has been violated
• Damaged or faulty thermistor or thermistor cables

Potential solutions

• Newer versions of Klipper show the offending heater and its limits in the klippy.log error message. Older versions do not, and this needs to be analyzed in klippy.log. The lines starting with Stats xxxx: contain the various temperatures Klipper has recorded.
• Be sure to specify workable limits for min_temp / max_temp for the given heater. They must reflect reasonable limits, as this is a “valuable error” that can also indicate unsafe operating conditions.
• Check the thermistor’s / heater’s hardware and wiring. In doubt replace the thermistor.
