ADC out of range

Background

A thermistor has reported a temperature outside of the specified limits

Reasons

  • Specified min_temp / max_temp in the respective heater section has been violated
  • Damaged or faulty thermistor or thermistor cables

Potential solutions

  • The error message does not contain the offensive heater. This needs to be analyzed in the klippy.log.
  • Make sure to specify workable limits for min_temp / max_temp for the given heater. They shall reflect sane limits since this is a “valuable error” that can also indicate unsafe operating conditions
  • Check the thermistor’s / heater’s hardware and wiring. In doubt replace the thermistor
